On the news today, it said that the illinois state budget should be resolved by the weekend. Why the f*ck couldn't they have waitied till NEXT weekend? Then they probably would've pushed the date to September first for me. Now it looks like I WILL have to start on the 1st or maybe 7th or something like that. My plans for a special trip with Betty are basically shot. Nothing goes right for me when it comes to the luck of the draw. I'm not 100% sure that it being resolved this weekend will set in stone anything, but i'm almost sure it won't be what I hoped for. Oh well, what can you do?

It's still possible it WON'T be resolved, but news reporters are optimistic that it's done and over with. I called a human resource guy and he said "we can't tell you anything for sure, but we're sensitive to giving you 2 weeks notice but it might not be possible. Be prepared for an Aug 1st start date just in case.

Sucks. Anything i'm optimisitic for always gets shut down by something out of my control. I'm still worried about being able to make it at the academy anyway. I ran outside yesterday and couldn't make my run time. The bad thing is, i'm going to have to do this on a daily basis! I don't know how i'm not going to be dead every day after PT and be able to have energy to learn in class and other stuff. :-P
