God I hate some of these so-called "Peer2Peer" softwares.

Sure, there are billions of people using the damn things, but I swear to god that 95% of the stuff I want to download, either A) Doesn't actually download at all, B) Is either shit and doesn't work, or C) Something completely different than what it says it is.

Anyone have a decent P2P that they actually get most of what they want?

P.S. I really don't care if you have sand in your clit and want to cry about how wrong P2P is. Go start your own thread.

P.S.S. I have used Morpheus, Kazaa, and am currently using i-Mesh, which claims to be on the same network as above. However, I currently have about 60 things in the queue to download, and will probably only get about 10 of them, most of which will be crap.

Limewire, uses the Gnutella network. Best not to get TONS of downloads going at once, just keep an eye on a few at a time and you should get most of what you want. None of those crappy files that just squeel and crap like is littered all over Kazaa.

What is the Gnutella Network. Cause, I use LimeWire and it's GREAT. I just always wondered what that was...

I use my cousin referred me to bearshare, I'm new to this whole music/file stealing stuff.

dammit i'm still surprized that people can get songs online. i have been looking for a site for how long already, and i haven't been able to find something. i'm also surprized that winmx still works. i have to start steal...errr d/l and sharing more songs.

Gnutella is basically the network established by a bunch of unconnected cells of computers sharing files. There's no central core server so it can never be shut down. Now Kazaa doesn't use the Gnutella network. It uses the same principle but it only uses files shared by Kazaa users. That makes it a smaller radius of computers that you get to search from and also has a LOT of files stuck in by the RIAA that just squeak and squeal so that you can't get what you want as I'm sure you've noticed. So basically it uses the same process as Kazaa but with no shit files and with a LOT more users to search from. Been around for years and years.

On a side note, Limewire isn't the only program to utilize the Gnutella network. I saw someone previously mention Bearshare, it does too. There are plenty other but I've only ever used Limewire.

its for big files, like films or full albums, not very useful for one song.

I've tried edonkey a couple times, never did work proper. Might try that and see if it actually works for you though.
