Fun Stereotypes

You can add more to the list or an entirely new category, but I'll get to ball rolling with a few stereotypes. Discussion: Do you think any are completely false? Which do you think are somewhat warranted/have some basis on reality?

Irish:
*big drinkers
*are catholics

Italians:
*are in the mafia
*use lots of hand gestures when they speak

Blacks:
*are all tall and good at basketball/all sports
*have big penises
*like hip hop
*speak "ebonics"

Hispanics:
*are all Mexican (in the southwest (of USA), anyway)
*like mariachi music
*eat beans
*are wetbacks

Asians:
*know karate
*eat rice
*are all Chinese

Jews:
*are stingy with money
*are entertainers (control Hollywood)

Men
*never stop for directions
*are insensitive bastards

Women
*can't drive
*can't be comprehended by men

Homosexuals
*women are attracted to gay guys
*men are turned on by lesbians
*gay men are neat, well organized, dress well, have lots of female friends

asian people always eat rice, which is true..

not all black people are tall, --> and I don't know about penis size since I've never see one.

from the northeast, so don't think all hispanics are from northeast-- however, someone once said, dirty, illegal immigrants--> I don't believe that either.

another one to add-- when a girl and a guy hang out, people automatically assume you're dating

men are sensitive- haha.. but they really do hate asking for directions.. they're too macho --> maybe also why they wouldn't admit they're sensitive

I'm Mexican and I do love my beans.
About asking for directions..I ask for directions when I know I don't know where to find some place, but if I know I'm so close, I'll tend to think it's more time effective to just drive/walk a little longer and find the place.

I'm a guy and I'm sensitive.

It's funny, but that guy/girl automatic "dating" assumption happened to me just this weekend. I went with a friend and a couple of ladie-friends of his I'd met before but not that personally...anyway, I took a ladie-friend of mine and I heard one of the other ones on the phone talking to someone else, I guess saying who all was going to this bar and she was like "....a friend of Lorenzo and his girlfriend", so I was like...ha ha..now she's my girlfriend? Funny.

nomas.. rice is plain and i'm an impatient person. i don't like to cook rice because it's takes too long. i'd just rather buy a loaf of bread and have it ready to eat.

as far as karate, i never took it but i took aikido and tae kwon do before.

and going back to being impatient, i will ask for directions because going around in circles is another waste of time.

Exactly, I'd much rather ask for directions because I'd look like an idiot showin' up an hour or so late just because I didn't want to.

Because I am half German, people always called me a 'Nazi' and it pissed me off royally. Even my ex-bf's grandma said to me "Don't try and tell me your family didn't sympathize with the Nazi's!!" Stupid old hag....my grandfather took ****ing shrapnel in the head fighting for the allies. Grr.
