At first I was like "Yeah, that's right, I'm the exception", but then I started thinkin' about it, and it really got me down.
Since my teenage years my relationship with that side of the family has waned significantly. I definitely set myself apart from them, but when he said that, it made me feel like I was now completely out of place, as if it was no logner just me that felt that way, but they felt that way too.
I still resent the ****ers to this day. I feel you bro!

| | | If your not part of a multicultural family (and I'm not talking about you being half Irish, a quarter Scotish, and a quarter Italian), I'm talking about having a mixture of some kind of asian and or african american - something that makes you stand out - then otherwise it's hard to understand.
But mixed races produce some of the most gorgeous and exotic looking kids!

| | | I'm not mixed. But I have cousins that are. And I see them getting treated differently - kind of like 'outcasts'.
To me, the whole think is ****ed up! I don't think it's fair the way they get treated (or mistreated) by the so called 'elders, and respectable ones' in my family.
I don't know what it's like in your shoes, but I know it's gotta suck. But I'm sure you have a strong connection with both your parents, and that is what is important, right?

| | | I grew apart from my mother around the same time I grew apart from the asian side. But there's other reasons for that.
And my dad.
He's not the affectionate type, very quiet about that stuff, so I wouldn't say we're close either.
What I feel matters most is if you strong connections with any siblings you have.

I'd like to visit my brother in Oklahoma (he's stationed there by the military) but it would just be impractical at this point.

Yeah. Well I hope everything goes well with Americorps Choi, sounds intresting, you should have a blast. Remember though there is always time after to see siblings right?

I just need to get my birth certificate, mine's lost so I had order another one.
I'm glad they waited to the last minute to tell me I needed one.

| | | Look, from what I can see you have an attraction to women with an exotic flare. The fact is the right mixture of exotic features can be very attractive. And the women you describe having a penchant for have a nice mixture of feature. The have that exotic look to them, but yet still have classic westernize beauty. The fact is when a Italian, Spanish, or Western European woman is hot/attractive she is really hot and attractive. And I gather that you are attracted to the lure, the promise of attractiveness, of the higher end and more beautiful of the females in these particular ethnicities, and thatis understandable. As long as you're not excluding attractive women of other ethnicities than you're fine!!!
