Okay, I've noticed a lot of computer talk here lately, so I guess we have a lot of geeks surfing LF. I need some help. I have a DVD burner, but don't really know what it's capable of doing!

So, on my computer, I have a bunch of cool MPG clips, I even have a full length movie - "lady and the tramp". I think these files are mpeg or avi or something - I'm not sure.

First of all, is it possible to get these onto a DVD. And then for me to watch them in a regular DVD player in my living room?

I figured a DVD burner is something that scans 'Other' DVD's, and then records them onto your computer. Then, you can make copies of the origonal DVD.

So, which is it? Or are both possibilities possible?

yes they are ...BUT to make an EXACT copy of a DVD you need a specific software that bypasses the copyright codes ...you know how nowadays most music cd's and DVD cant be copied to your PC as easely as before ...thats because theyr ALL are protected agains piracy and you need a software thats bends the rules for you to grab it ... anyways , GOOD LUCK ...i lost patience and just forgot i have a dvd burner ... damn thing burns a decent dvd every 1per 10 try's ... and it DOES ruin all the 9 other dvd's i tried to burn .

well , late is for like DEAD ...in a sorta way(youll understand later...just keep reading) , you see when i joined this site i just broke up with my Gf the SAME day ...and Vamp is short for Vampire because me and my Ex had nicknames (mine was her vampire ...why?? because i always used to bite her neck ,body pretty much anywhere ...not to make her bleed tho ...just something intimate..she used to get horny by it) ...

I started this with all my friends (nicknames ... no not the biting) and then with her (we were friends before ) then after she became my Gf i gave her another nickname (i gave her many infact) . anyways , so after we used to call each other by nicknames (only in private tho , not in like a classroom ) and we broke up ... well HER vampire died ...meaning our relationship , her man , her boyfriend was no more therefore he was now dead (not literally ..duh) . so thats why im THE Late_Vamp .

also it iS wolverine in my avartor. i like his caracther , he's rough yet he's a lady's man and is always kinda nice/flirt's with them . So i can relate to that .

The "coffee" is spelled Latte btw. It's espresso shots with steamed milk but calling it coffee isn't technically wrong I suppose.
