| | | * Millionaire ideas You Deserve to Be Happy
By: Brian Tracy
Achieving your own happiness is the best measure of how well you are living your life and enjoying your relationships. You can learn how to be happier and more fulfilled in everything you do.
Everyone is Different
Happiness in life is like a smorgasbord. If 100 people went to a smorgasbord and each put food on their plate in the quantity and mix that each felt would be most pleasing to him, every plate would be different. Even a husband and wife would go up to the smorgasbord and come back with plates that looked completely different. Happiness is the same way. Each person requires a particular combination of those ingredients to feel the very best about himself or herself.
Listen to Your Heart
And your mix is changing continually. If you went to the same smorgasbord every day for a year, you probably would come back with a different plateful of food each time. Each day-sometimes each hour-only you can tell what it takes to make you happy. Therefore, the only way to judge whether a job, a relationship, an investment, or any decision, is right for you is to get in touch with your feelings and listen to your heart.
Be True to Yourself
You’re true to yourself only when you follow your inner light, when you listen to what Ralph Waldo Emerson called the “still, small voice within.” You’re being the very best person you can be only when you have the courage and the fortitude to allow your definition of happiness, whatever it may be, to be the guiding light of every part of your life.
There Are No Limits
A very important point on the subject of happiness is whether or not you feel that you “deserve” to be happy.
Accept the notion that you deserve all the happiness you can honestly attain through the application of your talents and abilities. The more you like and respect yourself, the more deserving you will feel of the good things in life. And the more deserving you feel, the more likely you will attain and hold on to the happiness you are working toward.
Make Happiness Your Key Measure
You should make happiness the organizing principle of your life. Compare every possible action and decision you make against your standard of happiness to see whether that action would make you happier or unhappier. Soon, you will discover that almost all of the problems in your life come from choices that you have made - or are currently making - that do not contribute to your happiness.
Pay the Price
Of course, there are countless times when you will have to do little things that don’t make you happy along the way toward those larger things that make you very happy indeed. We call this paying the price of success in advance. You must pay your dues.
Sometimes these interim steps don’t make you happy directly, but the happiness you achieve from attaining your goal will be so great that it totally overwhelms the temporary inconveniences and dissatisfactions you have to endure in order to get there.
Action Exercises
Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action.
First, accept that you deserve all the joy and happiness you can possibly achieve through your own efforts.
Second, make your own happiness the chief organizing principle of your life and judge everything against that standard.
Third, be willing to work hard and pay the price for the satisfaction and rewards you desire. Always go the extra mile and your success will be assured.

| | | One of Life's Great Lessons - Learn to be Thankful for What You Already Have by Jim Rohn
Is thankfulness a survival skill? Perhaps most of you would respond with, "No, Jim, thankfulness is not key to survival", and I would tend to agree with you. Most of us have probably already solved the necessary problems of survival, gone beyond that and are now working to achieve our desires. But let me give you this key phrase, "Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want." I believe one of the greatest and perhaps one of the simplest lessons in life we can learn is to be thankful for what we have already received and accomplished.
Both the years and the experiences have brought me here to where I stand today, but it is the thankfulness that opened the windows of opportunities, of blessings, of unique experiences to flow my way. My gratitude starts with my parents who raised me, gave me an incredible foundation that has lasted me all of these years and continues with the mentors that I've met along the way who absolutely changed and revolutionized my life, my income, my bank account, my future. I am also very thankful for the people, the associations, for the ideas, for the chance to work and labor, and to produce results, all of that has brought me to this place, to this weekend. I'm grateful for it all.
What a unique opportunity each one of you here has, so many of us; representing different countries, nations and cultures, to appreciate the uniqueness of our own experiences that has brought us all here, together, for these three days to learn new skills and sharpen old ones. For the countries we represent; we have freedom and liberty. These are extraordinary times, about eleven years ago the walls came tumbling down, in Germany, and it started a wave of democracy and freedom like the world has never seen before. We as a country and as a world have so much to be thankful for. Always start with thanksgiving; be thankful for what you already have and see the miracles that come from this one simple act.
Now thankfulness is just the beginning; next, you've got to challenge yourself to produce. Produce more ideas than you need for yourself so you can share and give your ideas away. That is called fruitfulness and abundance. Here's what I think fruitfulness and abundance mean - to go to work on producing more than you need for yourself so you can begin blessing others, blessing your nation and blessing your enterprise. Once abundance starts to come, once someone becomes incredibly productive, it's amazing what the numbers turn out to be. But to begin this incredible process of blessing, it often starts with the act of thanksgiving and gratitude, being thankful for what you already have and for what you've already done. Begin the act of thanksgiving today and watch the miracles flow your way.
To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

| | | Sentenced to Success by Chris Widener
I once heard a speaker use the statement, "I have been sentenced to success!" I heard that almost twenty years ago, yet it still sticks in my head.
Imagine that. What if we had been given a life sentence to serve, say 75 years, and the sentence was to do time in a place called "Success"? The truth is that we have.
Let me back up. We have been given a life sentence. But, unlike a sentencing in a real life courtroom, we get to actually choose where we will "do our time."
Here are some of the choices people make:
The prison of poverty.
Poor people are no better or kinder or anything else than people with money. People are people regardless of how much money they have. Frankly, I have had little and I have had a lot, and yes, I will choose having a lot! When you choose to live in poverty you are in a prison that does not allow you the freedoms we were intended to experience. We are unable to help others as we desire. My advice? Don't choose a sentence to the prison of poverty.
The prison of depression.
Depression is like a blanket that overwhelms you and eventually smothers you. Now before you go accusing me with, "Chris. You just don't understand." Yes I do. I have had a history of depression. Depression is rampant in my family of origin. I know firsthand what a prison depression is. When you are locked up in depression you cannot live life as it was intended. But you can get out! My advice? Don't choose a sentence to the prison of depression.
The prison of the lack of health.
Lacking health is a real pain! The freedom we lose when we choose to live in a state of a lack of health is terrible - and unnecessary! We don't have to live in that prison. We can choose a different sentence! We can choose health! My advice? Don't choose a sentence to the prison of the lack of health.
The prison of doubt, worry, and fear.
This is a dark, dark prison. It is one that haunts you the whole time you reside there. It makes you believe that the surroundings are worse than the really are. It keeps you from enjoying life and becoming the kind of person you were intended to become! My advice? Don't choose a sentence to the prison of poverty. My advice? Don't choose a sentence to the prison of doubt, worry and fear.
There is another option. You can choose to be sentenced to success! You can choose to actually be set free! You can choose to walk out of that courtroom and live the life that you choose!
What can you experience when you are sentenced to success? How about these:
Good health
Financial abundance
Emotional freedom
Positive relationships
A career you love
Spiritual liberty
And how will you experience these? By choice. Your choice. You choose exactly what kind of life you will live. You choose the sentence you will serve here on earth and the experience that you have.
Will you languish in a dark prison or in the open freedom that comes from the sentence of success? That depends on the choices you make.
I challenge you to choose this day to:
Pursue financial independence
Develop yourself spiritually
Make a change so you are in a career you love
Re-commit yourself to loving relationships
Achieve emotional health
Make a choice TODAY. Do not spend another day in a prison where you do not belong!
Where will you serve your sentence? You get to decide.
As for me?
I have been sentenced to success!

| | | Your Every Day Habits Are Broadcasting Your Hidden Fears by Lisa Jimenez, M.Ed.
Loud and Clear
The first step to your breakthrough is to listen to what you say and watch what you do on a daily basis. These habits of behavior are very reflective to what you believe and what you fear.
If you say one thing…
"I want to have an intimate relationship."
"I want to become a director."
"I want to become top sales person."
"I want to lose weight and get fit."
But your behaviors reveal a different message…
"You instigate an argument."
"You lose an important phone number or misplace a file."
"You procrastinate on doing the very things that will ensure your success."
"You consistently hit the snooze button or you find things that must be done instead of hitting the gym."
These self-sabotage behaviors occur when there is a discrepancy between what say you want and what your behaviors prove you want. These behaviors can turn into habits if they are not addressed and stopped. They are a reflection of your fears caused by negative beliefs you have toward your goals.
So, did you think about what fears are keeping you from your goals? Evaluate your behaviors – your daily habits – and notice the connection between sabotage behavior and your hidden fears. How is sabotage keeping you safe from facing and eliminating your fears?
Expose Hidden Fears by Evaluating Sabotage Behavior and Bad Habits!
Have a great day!

"Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable." -- Walt Disney

| | | Your Dream Begins Today by Les Brown
What will your life be like when you've achieved your most deeply held dreams? Let's take a look at how you can start living your dreams this very day.
Do you have a dream, a vision of the life you wish to live?
How specific is that dream?
How clear is that vision?
How do you intend to reach it?
What obstacles stand in your way?
Are your fears holding you back or are you using them to move you forward?
Your fears can actually lead you to success. Fear is an intense emotion. But that doesn't mean it has to control you, or even stop you. Fear can prepare you and push you forward just as strongly as it can hold you back. Fear heightens your awareness and increases your physical strength. Fear brings your mind to sharp focus. With all that going for you, does it make sense to just run and hide? Of course not. Fear gets you in shape to take action!
Are you waiting for things to get better before moving ahead? If you're serious about success; you need to start taking action today. If you're waiting for things to be perfect, you'll wait forever and nothing will ever get done. The way to achieve is to bloom where you're planted, to do what you can, where you are, with what you have. It's easy to think up excuses for not taking action. "If only I had more hours in the day. If only I had a better job. If only I could meet the right person." But excuses won't bring you anything of value. You've got to change your "if only" into an "I will." "I will make better use of my time. I will work on improving my career. I will create and nurture my relationships." Take a chance. Have faith in yourself. Your circumstances will improve when you make the effort to improve them. Start where you are right now. You have everything it takes to reach for whatever you desire. Stop wishing. Use your time, your energy, your thoughts and efforts to make it happen! You'll be glad you did!

| | | NITTY-GRITTY REASONS by Jim Rohn
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be motivated to achievement by
such a lofty goal as benevolence? I must confess, however,
that in the early years of my struggle to succeed, my
motivation was a lot more down-to-earth. My reason for
succeeding was more basic. In fact, it fell into the category
of what I like to call "nitty-gritty reasons." A nitty-gritty
reason is the kind that any one of us can have -- at any
time, on any day -- and it can cause our lives to change.
Let me tell you what happened to me . . .
Shortly before I met Mr. Shoaff, I was lounging at home one
day when I heard a knock at the door. It was a timid,
hesitant knock. When I opened the door I looked down to see a
pair of big brown eyes staring up at me. There stood a frail
little girl of about ten. She told me, with all the courage
and determination her little heart could muster, that she was
selling Girl Scout cookies. It was a masterful
presentation -- several flavors, a special deal, and only two
dollars per box. How could anyone refuse? Finally, with a big
smile and ever-so politely, she asked me to buy. And I
wanted to. Oh, how I wanted to!
Except for one thing. I didn't have two dollars! Boy, was I
embarrassed! Here I was -- a father, had been to college, was
gainfully employed -- and yet I didn't have two dollars to my
name.
Naturally I couldn't tell this to the little girl with the
big brown eyes. So I did the next best thing. I lied to her.
I said, "Thanks, but I've already bought Girl Scout cookies
this year. And I've still got plenty stacked in the house."
Now that simply wasn't true. But it was the only thing I
could think of to get me off the hook. And it did. The little
girl said, "That's okay, sir. Thank you very much." And with
that she turned around and went on her way.
I stared after her for what seemed like a very long time.
Finally, I closed the door behind me and, leaning my back to
it, cried out, "I don't want to live like this anymore. I've
had it with being broke, and I've had it with lying. I'll
never be embarrassed again by not having any money in my
pocket." That day I promised myself to earn enough to always
have several hundred dollars in my pocket at all times.
This is what I mean by a nitty-gritty reason. It may not win
me any prize for greatness, but it was enough to have a
permanent effect on the rest of my life.
My Girl-Scout-cookie story does have a happy ending. Several
years later, as I was walking out of my bank where I had just
made a hefty deposit and was crossing the street to get into
my car, I saw two little girls who were selling candy for
some girls' organization. One of them approached me, saying,
"Mister, would you like to buy some candy?" "I probably
would," I said playfully. "What kind of candy do you have?"
"It's almond roca." "Almond roca. That's my favorite. How
much is it?" "It's only two dollars." Two dollars. It
couldn't be! I was excited. "How many boxes of candy have you
got?" "I've got five." Looking at her friend, I said, "And
how many boxes do you have left?" "I've got four." "That's
nine. Okay, I'll take them all." At this, both girls' mouths
fell open as they exclaimed in unison, "Really?"
"Sure," I said. "I've got some friends that I'll pass some
around to." Excitedly, they scurried to stack all the boxes
together. I reached into my pocket and gave them eighteen
dollars. As I was about to leave, the boxes tucked under my
arm, one of the girls looked up and said, "Mister, you're
really something!" How about that! Can you imagine spending
only eighteen dollars and having someone look you in the face
and say, "You're really something!" Now you know why I always
carry a few hundred dollars on me. I'm not about to miss
chances like that ever again.
And to think it all resulted from my own embarrassment, that
when properly channeled, acted as a powerful motivator to
help me achieve.
How about you? What nitty-gritty reasons do you have waiting
to challenging and provoke you into change for the better?
Look for them, they are there. And once you see them and act
upon them you may never be the same again.

| | | Listening Power
By: Brian Tracy
The art of good conversation centers very much on your ability to ask questions and to listen attentively to the answers. You can lace the conversation with your insights, ideas, and opinions, but you perfect the art and skill of conversation by perfecting the art and skill of asking good, well-worded questions that direct the conversation and give other people an opportunity to express themselves.
Ask Open Ended Questions
Ask open-ended questions that cannot be answered with a simple “yes” or “no.” Open-ended questions encourage the speaker to expand on his thoughts and comments. And one question will lead to another. You can ask open-ended questions almost endlessly, drawing out of the other person everything that he or she has to say on a particular subject.
Be Content to Listen
In order to be an excellent conversationalist, you must resist the urge to dominate the discussion. The very best conversationalists seem to be low-key, easy-going, cheerful, and genuinely interested in the other person. They seem to be quite content to listen when other people are talking and they make their own contributions to the dialogue rather short and to the point.
Share the Opportunity to Talk
In fact, good conversation has an easy ebb and flow, like the tide coming in and going out. Whether it is between two people or among several, the conversation should shift back and forth, with each person getting an opportunity to talk. Conversation in this sense is like a ball that is tossed from person to person, with no one holding on to it for very long.
If you feel that you have been talking for too long, you should stop and ask a question of someone in the group. You will be tossing the conversational ball and giving that individual an opportunity to converse.
Learn to Listen Well
Listening is the most important of all skills for successful conversation. Many people are very poor listeners. Since everyone enjoys talking, it takes a real effort to practice the fundamentals of excellent listening and to make them a habit.
Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action.
First, make a habit of asking good, open-ended questions of others in every conversation and in response to problems or difficulties. This shows interest and increases your understanding.
Second, take a deep breath, relax and let the other person talk more. Practice over and over until you become an excellent listener.

| | | The Key to Taking Control
By: Brian Tracy
Set Priorities
Stress management requires that you take complete control over the activities of your daily life. This means that you plan your day, set priorities and work on high value tasks. The indispensable key to time management is concentration, the ability to focus single-mindedly on one thing, the most important thing, and to stay with it until it is 100% complete.
Create Chunks of Time
This is not only the hardest challenge that a manager faces, but the ability to concentrate single-mindedly is probably the rarest single ability in the workplace. Most of our important tasks take large chunks of time. We need to plan and organize our days in such a way that we allocate these chunks of time so that we can do the jobs upon which our success depends.
A Burst of Energy
The wonderful thing about setting priorities and concentrating single-mindedly is that, the very minute that you do these two things, you will begin to feel a tremendous sense of control and well-being. As you work progressively toward the accomplishment of your most important tasks, you will feel a flow of energy and enthusiasm. As you finish something that is relevant and significant to your company and to yourself, you get a burst of energy. Your self-esteem improves. You feel good about yourself. You have a wonderful sense of making measurable progress toward greater successful in your career. You feel like you are making a difference.
On the other hand, working on small tasks or low priority items simply causes you to feel more and more stress. Even if you finish a dozen or a hundred of these minor and irrelevant low value tasks, you get no feeling of satisfaction or accomplishment.
Action Exercises
Now, here are two ideas you can use immediately to concentrate single mindedly on the highest value use of your time.
First, analyze your work before you begin and then ask yourself, “What one thing, if I did it quickly and well, would have the greatest impact on my work?” Whatever it is, go to work on that one item immediately.
Second, once you have begun on a high value task, discipline yourself by repeating over and over, “Back to work, back to work, back to work!” This will keep you focused and on track until you finish the job.
