| Music helps a lot, listening to it, not playing. Distraction works but the problem is it only works if you're consistently busy which isn't very healthy.
What does help though is going to bed completely relaxed. My psych teacher used to talk about that and she'd tell us that every night before we went to bed we should sit, not lie down, in silence and reflect on the day and work through everything in our heads. That way, when you go to bed you're not carrying your emotions and stresses with you. Sleep is meant to help with all that shit and if you can't rest peacefully then it can't help.
