alright, nevermind all the "will he/she have sex with me" or "is my dick big enough" or "am "I" ready for sex??" i know after all the bullshit is done, many people still deal with this, even at the ripe old age of 50. well alright so that is a pulling everyone's leg, but truthfully how many people still deal with this shit? bottom line, i thought i'd bring up something different, if it hasn't been brought up recently.

why do "YOU" fell your opposite has this problem if they do? if they don't, why do you anyone for that matter has this..?? parents?? low self esteem?? just want attention??

i think everyone has some sort of insecurity, for me personally it is my physical ability to protect my self, i have always been of small stature (5'6) and had my fair share of beatings growing up - as a result, now as 23 year old (after lifting weights for a while and taking up boxing) i am sometimes too quick to look for a physical confrontation, i think that i am still trying to prove myself to myself (if that makes any sense)

I think these sorts of insecurities are usually age/maturity related... that is not to say that a 50 year old doesn't experience insecurity... it's just that a 50 year old develops confidence in areas OTHER than their sexuality which helps give them a more realistic and balanced view of themselves. Also, sexual technique improves with age (usually), and once people know how to use what they were given, they tend to feel better about themselves.

Zro is right, everyone lacks confidence in some area. This would include being insecure about sexual issues. For some people, such as myself, this would be because of a lack of experience. People usually gain confidence with experience.

I'm quite confident about my chemistry and math abilities. This is because I have spent a lot of time with these subjects and know I am good at it. I'm not very secure when it comes to speaking foreign languages like Italian and Spanish, because I don't have as much experience with those.

Do we feel these fears so that we will protect ourselves? Do they result in stronger pair-bonding? Is insecurity just a little whisper of loss that reminds us of the Big, Inevitable Loss that is our own mortality?

as far as relationships go, i am very insecure about cheating. i always feel as though i am being cheated on, or that my SO has the will to cheat. it developed because in every relationship i've been in, i was cheated on, one way or another.
