Clear 'New Posts' list button

I have this little prpblem with the New Posts section of this site. The links to new posts since my last visit work just fine - when i view then and go back they are not bold any longer, and after 15 minutes of inactivity the list will clear and start over as if I was to logout and log back in.

But sometimes I will close the browser and come back within 15 minutes and ever thread I viewed from the last time is still there and they are bolded again. This makes it very hard to determine the actual new posts from the older posts that I already viewed.

My suggestion is to add a button that will clear the list - I have seen this type of button on many forums, and if my memory is not mistaken this site had it before the last upgrade.

I would like to see this back and it will definately help me out alot seeing that I am only on this site from work and I am having to close my browser everytime my boss walks by or I have to get up from my desk for a few minutes...
